Now planning for 2022 events!

The inaugural HelloHoover! STEM talent attraction event, sponsored by the Hoover Industrial Development Board, was held on May 25-26, 2021. The event brought key Hoover employers and interested students and recent graduates together for a virtual networking and talent recruitment opportunity. The Hoover IDB is excited to build on the great success of this program and is planning more micro events for  2022 and a key marquee event in Fall 2022.

About the inaugural 2021 event:

Hello Hoover! is a free, two-day virtual event designed to connect college students and recent graduates with the top science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) companies in Hoover, Alabama, to learn about future internships, cooperative (co-op) work experience and career opportunities.

This virtual experience will give participants access to network with industry leaders, gain knowledge in their respective fields through panel and roundtable discussions, discover and interview for job/internship opportunities in STEM, and experience what makes Hoover a great place to live, work and play!

All STEM-based students are welcome. Employers are looking for students majoring in engineering, information systems, computer science, supply chain management, data science, fintech, cybersecurity, and other STEM majors.
